TideMesh
Description
TideMesh is a drop-in ocean for Unity with one-click buoyancy, dynamic tessellation, and a camera-following tiling system for infinite water. Drop it in, press Play, and your props and boats float—no scripting required. You can fully tune the lighting and color palette to your art direction and pick from multiple sensible presets for quick results.
Key Features
- Premade Ocean Templates — Drop-in looks from calm to stormy with balanced scale, color, and wave behavior.
- One-Click Buoyancy — Floats props and boats with natural bob and tilt. Works out of the box—just press a button.
- Dynamic Tessellation — Adds crisp detail up close and smoothly reduces it at distance for clean horizons.
- FFT-Based Waves — Uses Fast Fourier Transforms for realistic surface motion with predictable performance.
- Smart Culling & Tiling — Camera-following tiles extend the ocean to the horizon while off-screen areas are culled to minimize draw calls.
- Configurable Shading — Artist-friendly water & lighting controls to match stylized or realistic art directions.
- Simple Setup — Sensible defaults get you a playable ocean in minutes; no scripting required.
